Ah. That seems to go against everything we now know about how life, death and fate work.

[ It's apparent he's thinking the whole concept over. ]

Was everything we suffered though meant to happen from the start, just so we could find one another in this afterlife? Or were we simply given a second chance to, having ended our lives before our paths crossed?

We arrived here around the same time, after all. We could have met at any moment.
