[ No one questioned anything when William suddenly left his office that morning. "I've been called to a meeting" was all the information he gave the rest of Dispatch. To them, it wasn't surprising, seeing as he was the head of the department. For William, however, the summoning came with zero notice. As he made his way to the upper managements' offices, all he could wonder was what issue his subordinates caused that he'd have to clean up after, this time.

It wasn't until lunch break that William returned to Dispatch. The others expected they'd get reprimanded for something, but William remained quiet, his face expressionless as he closed the door to his office. ]

Were you afraid I'd bore you in bed?

[ Most people would probably think the stuffy, boring man would be! ]

[ She laughs, short and low. ]

With how explosive your anger was? No. I suspected you were a repressed deviant, and I was quite right, I think... [ A pleased little hum. ] Atill, you exceeded my expectations. Tonight especially.

[death_glare]

I cannot argue with you on that. You will have to tell me of other dreams you had.

[ His grip tightens around her just so. ]

I truly hope the other portion of that one will present itself.

Oh, happily.

[ Humming with content, she tucks her hands beneath his shirt, to pet along his bare chest. ]

I'd fantasized that you could harness such a thirst, yes, but actually seeing it-- ah. I'm deeply obsessed, Will. You must believe me, my enthusiasm is only. Curbed by exhaustion... [ It seems that her thought process is becoming just the slightest bit jumbled, as such bliss tugs her into the comfort of rest. ]

Sleep, then. Thankfully you aren't expected at work tomorrow.

[ Of course he had to throw that in there. ]

Yes.. thank...fully.... [ Heaving a sleepy sigh, then, she's dead to the world purgatory. At least, for a few hours, until she stirs - and blearily reaches up to feel for her eye, on which half a false lash has popped. She softly grumbles, sitting up to peel them! ]

[ When she's done fussing with her mussed eye make up, she'll notice that William is no longer snuggled up in bed. He'd dozed off for a bit, too, but when he woke, he carefully left the bed as to not wake her. He's now in the kitchen, seated at the table with a cup of tea. ]

[ Grell's upturned brow presses further with concern, as she tentatively pats the empty space beside her. Recalling her dreams meshing with the waking world, she's concerned that perhaps she's lost her tether to reality once more.

Except that, once she leans forward to pull herself out of bed and off of the soft support of the bed, her hips prove to be astoundingly sore. She certainly couldn't imagine that sort of pain!

With a pathetic sound, she cups her bottom whilst turning for the door.

Wait. No. Glasses. And a makeup wipe.

Moments later, Grell toddles into the kitchen, rubbing at an eye with her wipe. ]

You've crippled me. [ She grabs onto the back of a seat to walk herself around it and lower herself down, wincing upon sitting. ] Nn. Did you make yourself anything?

[ Aside from his tea, which she's reaching for to steal a sip! ]

[ He's about to comment on her apparent pain when she swipes his tea cup from him. He frowns at her the entire time she sips from the cup, then looks down into it, as if offended by the amount she consumed. ]

The kettle is still on, I would have made you your own.

[ But now, it seems, he must make himself another cup instead! ]

There are some tea sandwiches in the icebox. Unless you'd rather eat mine.

[ Not that the sandwiches are labelled specifically for either of them, but it's the principle of it all! ]

[ But Grell is so content with HIS! Also, at the mention of sandwiches, her face lights up, seemingly unfazed by his scolding. ]

I don't care whose it is, I'm famished. [ While sliding his cup back over, she shines him the sweetest shark-toothed grin! ] Might I have one, oh please♡, my darling~?

[ Swiping his cup back, he makes it to the counter to get a refill. ]

Only because you decided to ask politely.

[ But he is going to take his sweet ass time with it! Starting with slowly mixing the sugar and cream into his tea until it's just perfect. Then dragging out the process of fixing her a cup. Then, finally, after both are placed on the table does he move to open the fridge door and carefully select which they may both like. ]

If you're so famished, then I won't take any complaints.

[ Two small, crustless sandwiches are placed before her. One, a simple combination of cured ham and a strong, soft cheese. The other one sweeter, with thick orange marmalade and butter. ]

[ The redhead watches him in the most unimpressed manner, leaning back into her chair with a huff. In favour of being fed, she decides to bite her tongue-- besides, at the very least, he brought over the tea before selecting the sandwiches.

She amuses herself with puffing the steam off her cup while William takes him time with the sandwiches, but she still can't veil her excitement when he places the food before her. With a croon, she reaches out to hook her hands behind his neck, pulling him in. ]

You're a right ass. [ A proper kiss. ] I love you.

You bring it upon yourself.

[ But he returns the kiss, regardless. Then, shooing her off to eat her meal, he takes his own seat back. ]

You were saying something about me crippling you?

[ William opts for the sweeter sandwich first, of course! ]

[ By the questioning look she gives him, it's clear that she can't see how! But, whatever, she got her kiss and she would rather stuff food in her mouth than inquire about it. In contrast, she goes for the ham first, figuring the meat will be more filling.

And, indeed, her mouth is full with half a sandwich when he questions her, leaving Grell to just pointedly hum in affirmation and nod enthusiastically! ]

[ Such just gets William to do the opposite, shake his head and sigh. ]

It shouldn't be affecting you that badly. You heal quickly enough.

[ Grell reaches for her tea, helping her gulp it down. ]

Try explaining that to my ass, darling.

[ A corner of her mouth plucks into a smirk. ]

Worth it, though.

[death_glare]

Perhaps we will take a few days off, so to speak.

[ He nods in approval of his own triumph over the meal he prepared. ]

[ Okay, William has already tried that one, and the look that she gives him conveys that she isn't about to fall for it this time! She scoffs in entertainment once more. ]

Yes, well, based on our track record thus far, I don't forsee that holding up. [ Said just before she shoves the last bite of tasty ham sammich into her mouth! ]

I don't want to hear about any drop in your performance at work on Monday, then. Crippled, as you put it, or not, you'll have only yourself to blame if we continue on as we have been.

[ Not eating nearly as quickly as his partner, William sips slowly at his tea. ]

[ Well, now that she's finished her sandwich off, it seems that she may slow down herself, taking a long sip of tea and heaving a happy sigh. ]

William, my love, you are too much. [ Shaking her head. She reaches out to pet down his jawline and beneath his chin, to fold there fondly. ] If I'm to maintain some semblance of sanity, we should pretend that job doesn't exist until my alarm rings Monday morning. [ Sigh! ] Perhaps taking some reminder of home there with me wouldn't be so bad, in any case!

[ He seems to hold some sense of agreement on her first comment. ]

Perhaps I should have pretended that the entire time. In any case, I wouldn't mind a day of simple relaxation.

It's settled then.

[ Tapping that chin with a satisfied little smile, she shifts to take another sip of tea. Seems she really enjoys what he's made! ]

We've the rest of the night, anyway. Tomorrow was reserved for moving things over into the new flat, hmn? [ A chuckle. ] At the very least, we could see to it that our new bath is in order.

Ah, yes. I believe they are giving us the next week to fully move and have all the paperwork in order.

[ He pauses to enjoy a bit of his next sandwich. ]

I am looking forward to that larger bath, though.

It would be a lovely way to reward ourselves for our efforts, don't you think?

[ Following suit, she bites into her little jam sandwich, and closes her eyes with a delighted breath. Oh yes, that hits the spot. ]

[ There's a nod and a hum as he swallows down what he'd been eating. ]

What of the rest of tonight, then?
