Forgiven

[ No one questioned anything when William suddenly left his office that morning. "I've been called to a meeting" was all the information he gave the rest of Dispatch. To them, it wasn't surprising, seeing as he was the head of the department. For William, however, the summoning came with zero notice. As he made his way to the upper managements' offices, all he could wonder was what issue his subordinates caused that he'd have to clean up after, this time.

It wasn't until lunch break that William returned to Dispatch. The others expected they'd get reprimanded for something, but William remained quiet, his face expressionless as he closed the door to his office. ]

I would think that's obvious.

[ He allows her to settle in his lap, resting his hands on her hips. ]

Because I've allowed myself to open up and accept things I previously tried to ignore. Reading this before would have simply been an annoyance to me. But now, I feel like it's proof I have done something right, for once. I've made you happy, and in turn, done the same for myself.

[ one side of her smile pulls a bit higher, because she certainly had an idea, but William is just learning how to open up - and by communicating such things, he's also helping himself make it feel that much more real! ]

You're absolutely right about that♥. [ She cups his cheeks, leaning in to kiss him, brief and sweet. ]

[ He hums pleasantly into the kiss, his expression calm in the warm light of the fire. ]

Would you like me to massage your back?

[ Brows raised, her eyes spoil her answer before she has the chance to give it. ]

I would love for you to massage my back. [ Another peck! ] Shall I lay down..?

I certainly can't do so with you in my lap.

[ And as soon as she gets up, he will as well, and head into her room to find something to use for massage oil. ]

[ Playfully biting her tongue at him, she rises up to her knees to shimmy off his lap. While he disappears into the room, she makes herself comfortable on the blankets, fluffing her pillow to nestle her arms around and rest her head on top of. ]

The nightstand, my looove~♥ [ She calls after him. It's where she's stored the essentials for their romantic rendezvous, it seems. ]

[ After looking through her vanity, and picking up nearly every bottle, she finally calls to him. Ah, he should have known to check there. Returning to the room, he kneels down beside her. ]

I know your hips hurt but is there anywhere else I should focus on.

[ He's not super experienced with this, or at all really, but he's willing to put in the effort. ]

[ Grell bats her lashes up at him, wiggling her bottom playfully - even if it smarts a bit! ]

The lower back, too, I suppose. I'll take whatever I can get, really. [ A breathy chuckle. ]

[ There's a brief nod before he climbs over her, effectively straddling her upper thighs. The thin fabric of her nightie is pushed up to her shoulders, then her panties are shimmied down just enough to expose her hips.

The scent of the oil catches William's attention for a moment, but then without warning a pool of it forms on her lower back. He probably should have warmed it up somehow first! ]

[ Yes, especially in comparison to the warm and comfortable air before the fire, the oil makes her jolt with a yelp at how cold it is!! Not only that, it's quite a lot! ]

Unless you'd like to slide me over to the bath after, we may need a towel...

Shouldn't it soak into your skin?

[ Ignoring her comment about the towel, he attempts to work it around, coating more than just the area he was intending to focus on. It should be obvious now that he's never given anyone a massage. Not even his former wife! Grell's his first, and maybe last if this start is any indication to how this will go. ]

[ Grell grimaces, clutching her pillow! ]

Not that much... My darling,please.....

Fine.

[ With a huff, William does his best to push himself up, but his hands being slick with oil it's a bit difficult to manage. In the end, he differs to fluttering himself up with the brief summon of his wings. Then he's off, returning after a bit with a warm, damp towel. It's spread out across her back and he attempts to remove any excess. ]

[ Wincing, Grell's nearly ready to teleport herself free and pull him up by his arms-- but there are suddenly wings, and then he's off!

The entire thing has her pressing her face into her pillow for a good laugh.

Ah, but the warm towel suddenly draped over her back is wonderful. Not only does it save her from the thick oil, it feels wonderful on her muscles. Comforting. She breathes a happy sigh!! ]

[ Seated at her side, he sees the pleased grin on her face. And as he presses down the towel, it seems to only make it widen. ]

If this is enough on its own I can get a second to drape lower.

[ With a purring hum of approval, she seems to be hugging her pillow to her cheek! ]

Oh, yes, please. That would work just fine.

[ William silently gets up, leaving the room for a minute before returning with two more towels. These are slightly hotter than the first, especially with the original one quickly losing its warmth. He drapes them over her lower back, and the larger one across her hips, wrapping it neatly around her to cover from side to side. ]

Unfortunately they don't seem to stay warm for long.

[ Her kids flutter to a close with the most content smile. When she responds, it's lighter, airier. ]

Oh, that's alright, my love.. it's quite nice while it lasts...

[ While she basks in the warmth, William leans back against the couch. ]

Now that that fantasy of yours has been fulfilled, what else have you dreamt of over the years?

[ That gets her to crack an eye open to peek at him, grinning. ]

Well, now, you really do intend to spoil me, don't you~? [ She closes her eyes with a contemplative hum, as she thinks back. ] Are you feeling romantic -- or wretched?

Considering the state you're in at the moment, I think romantic would be the better option.

[ Plus with the blankets and the fire, it all begs for romance. ]

[ That gets some laughter out of the reaper. ]

It might've been polite to mention the ambience, instead! [ Tucking her wrists beneath her cheek, she props herself in just a way to look at him. ] It's a good thing that I prefer naughty angels.

Looking out for your well-being is polite.

[ Though now it looks like he's holding back the urge to smack her. ]

[ And she's just batting her lashes at him! ]

Well, in any case, I might think that long past dreams pale in comparison to what we truly have. [ Her features soften just so. ] Dare I say, the dreams to focus on should involve our plans for the future♥?

So tell me of that, then. Aside from marriage, a home and the potential expansion of a family, fate permitting.

[ He'd shaken his head at her flirtatious lash fluttering, but now he's relaxed once more, watching as the fire dances in the hearth. ]
