[ No one questioned anything when William suddenly left his office that morning. "I've been called to a meeting" was all the information he gave the rest of Dispatch. To them, it wasn't surprising, seeing as he was the head of the department. For William, however, the summoning came with zero notice. As he made his way to the upper managements' offices, all he could wonder was what issue his subordinates caused that he'd have to clean up after, this time.

It wasn't until lunch break that William returned to Dispatch. The others expected they'd get reprimanded for something, but William remained quiet, his face expressionless as he closed the door to his office. ]

[ Watching him fondly as he assists her, her shoulders rise as she braves the cool air without said towels! ]

Thank you, my darling~ [ Rolling onto her back, she outstretches her arms; a silent request to join her! ] What else might you like?

[ If he'd felt a bit silly sitting on the floor, it's even worse laying down on it. But still, he finds himself easing onto his back beside her. ]

We may have said this before, but seeing some more of the world is something we should put on the list.

[ Excuse you, Will - it's on the floor, on top of blankets! In front of the fireplace! It's entirely different.

Since he's missed the point of cuddling, she'll just have to move his arm and roll over next to him. Her cold back is still facing the fire, at least. ]

[ He's not at all surprised that she couldn't wait a mere moment before clinging to him. But putting her arm around her shoulder doesn't help that at all, anyway. ]

Are we not settled down now?

[ She traces her fingers along his jaw with a grin! ]

We've all these ideas for exciting sexual escapades, things to do, places to go~... While you're the one that I know I'll spend eternity with, I don't know I'd consider that settled.

That sounds settled to me. Which doesn't mean we can't experience all of those things, anyway.

[ The glow of the fire highlighting her face has him leaning in to give her a brief kiss. ]

[ Lids falling with a sweetened breath, she returns his kiss. ]

Mm. I suppose you're right. [ And another. ] I think I prefer your view.

[ He allows her to pepper him with kisses, simply enjoying the comfortable moment. If he's not careful he may very well drift off to sleep right here on the floor. Though, that probably wouldn't bode well for his back. ]

[ Nestling down against his collar, she rests a hand over his chest-- but she isn't prepared to stop talking just yet! ]

So, we could pick a country to tour over a week, every six months or so... Oh, why don't we take holiday somewhere romantic for Christmas!! Perhaps Paris, hn?

[ Her words rouse him from where he was slowly drifting off. And the absurd idea isn't something worth it! ]

Do you honestly believe they are going to allow you a Christmas vacation after all the trouble you caused?

[ Grell's lips part to speak-- but then his words hit her, and with a breath, she takes pause. Then furrows her brow - and then, looks down! ]

I thought only field agents worked holiday, but I suppose the bastards are going to keep me to tidy up after the Christmas Eve party, aren't they...

As well as the New Year's party, I'm sure.

[ He certainly would, if he were still in charge. But without that responsibility, he's a bit disappointed, too. That idea was certainly an appealing one. ]

[ The redhead deflates against William with a disgruntled sigh. ]

Well... we'll just have to save it for the anniversary, then... [ She peeks up at him, an edge of her lips twinging into a smile. ]

[ There's a nod. He'd say that's quite a ways away, but what's a year compared to eternity? ]

We will have to think of something special for Christmas Day, at least.

[ Clearly, she likes the idea, expression warming as her smile grows. Humming, she pets along his chest idly, mind searching for ideas. ]

Perhaps we can dress our best and go take a photograph together♥~

Professional photographers cost quite a bit.

[ He's not saying no, but the holiday isn't too far off. And taking into account how much they've spent over the past week, he's sceptical they'll have much to spare. Especially if presents are to be a thing. Perhaps it's better they won't be able to go on a spendy vacation just yet. ]

Less than holiday in Paris~.

[ Nuzzling her cheek against him, she bats her lashes!! ]

Which is another good reason to put the trip on hold.

[ When will she realise that the fluttery lashes have no effect! ]

[ With a sigh, she slumps, pouting! ]

Hmn. I'd be a bit embarrassed to photograph my hair as it is, in any case...

[ Lips pursed, her gaze flickers back to meet his. ]

What's your idea, then?

Your hair is perfectly fine the way it is.

[ He knows that's not an argument he's going to win, so he leaves his opinion at that. His eyes scan the ceiling, thinking over her question. ]

I've never really done much for the holiday. Even on the rare occasions I was able to take off.

[ It sounds really sad now that he thinks on it. The office party was the only thing he had, and even that involved the others practically dragging him to it. ]

[ Thankfully for William, he's changed the subject, and all that she manages is a disagreeing tick of the tongue, before she's distracted! ]

Mm, well, based on your social activities, I guessed as much... [ A quirk of the mouth, as she holds him a bit tighter. ] In truth, darling, I wasn't any less lonely. We'll be changing that.

Just don't go coating the entire ceiling in mistletoe, again.

[ That was a holiday season to remember, for certain. Having to spend his entire morning clipping the plants down with his scythe while she pouted. ]

[ Recounting that memory, she looks up at him with a gasp-- and then, an amused scoff! ]

All that effort, and you couldn't afford me one kiss! Not one peck on the cheek! [ A laugh. ] Looking at us now, you shouldn't have to worry this year~♥.

It will be nice just to spend it with someone, again.

[ The cuddling, the warmth of the fire. You could tell him it's Christmas Eve now and he may very well believe you. He's quite happy in this moment. ]
