Forgiven
[ No one questioned anything when William suddenly left his office that morning. "I've been called to a meeting" was all the information he gave the rest of Dispatch. To them, it wasn't surprising, seeing as he was the head of the department. For William, however, the summoning came with zero notice. As he made his way to the upper managements' offices, all he could wonder was what issue his subordinates caused that he'd have to clean up after, this time.
It wasn't until lunch break that William returned to Dispatch. The others expected they'd get reprimanded for something, but William remained quiet, his face expressionless as he closed the door to his office. ]

Let's return to bed.

Weakly, she leans a knee against the bed, so that she might pull up her trousers - and then, allows herself to topple against it with a groan not unlike the one she'd given moments before, when he pulled himself free of her. ]
That was... [ Her vaguely hoarse and thoroughly exhausted sigh should say it all, really! ]

The softness of his touch as he cleans her hands particularly leaves the reaper breathing a quiet, content sigh. Trailing the back of her knuckles along his cheek, she smiles. ]
I love you.

[ A bit of a hypocritical thing to say, but there's no real irritation behind it, just mild teasing. Setting the dirtied cloth on the nightstand, he shifts her well enough to climb under the covers with him. The bedding has never felt more plush, he thinks as he turns to his side to face her. ]

Some things don't need to be said. [ She quips, very matter-of-fact. ] Doesn't mean that I won't remind you more than is necessary-- but! Even so!

[ Better said with actions, it seems. He wraps his arms about her shoulders, holding her in the little cocoon his body makes around her. With a yawn he rests his chin atop her head. ]

[ Though he's sure Grell is thoroughly exhausted, he's much content to just lay here and talk. If she does drift off, he'll lay with her until he's certain he won't wake her by moving. ]

[ Her speech drawls into a yawn there, at the end. Despite how much she tried to resist it, the reaper caught his yawn! It certainly doesn't help that she's enveloped in his warmth, though. ]
It makes me feel a bit guilty, I confess, because you've been surprising me every day...
[ She certainly sounds tired, but she seems to be stubbornly hanging on! ]
no subject
[ Would she really turn down any attention he gave her, though? ]
You can sleep if you wish.
no subject
Mm-hm~♡. But I'm fine, really. I like this.
[ Doesn't mean she won't nuzzle against his collar groggily. ]
no subject
[ He idly runs his fingers along her spine, thinking through the day. ]
no subject
By all means, my darling, do your worst...
no subject
Which do you prefer?
[ Referring to their sex, something he assumes she'll surmise. ]
no subject
Which of what? [ But almost as soon as that's out-- ] Oh.
[ Breathing in deeply, a deeply contemplative hum carries on her exhale. ]
I don't know that I could choose, as one could not exclusively survive on neither food nor drink...
no subject
[ He huffs, slightly miffed that she couldn't just answer the question simply. ]
Fine. What aspects of either do you enjoy most?
no subject
Mm.. I enjoy the release that a good, hard fuck brings; I feel lighter, somehow. [ A short yawn. ] Mn, but.. making love with you is so.... deeply connected, I suppose. There's really no way to say it without being tragically cliche.
no subject
[ As had happened to her earlier, he now catches that yawn. ]

[ A chuckle. And another yawn! Which gets a groan out of her soon after, as it's inescapable at this point. ]
I'm quite happy that you did, really.
no subject
[ Most people would probably think the stuffy, boring man would be! ]
no subject
With how explosive your anger was? No. I suspected you were a repressed deviant, and I was quite right, I think... [ A pleased little hum. ] Atill, you exceeded my expectations. Tonight especially.
no subject
[ His grip tightens around her just so. ]
I truly hope the other portion of that one will present itself.
