William dropped down from his horse. It had been a long ride - from London straight down to the southern coast of England. But he'd barely stopped, only doing so when his horse refused to go further without rest and water. But each time, William did little more than tap his foot anxiously, trying to focus on anything but his thoughts of what happened the day before.

But now that he'd arrived, there was nothing else to distract him. The horse was forgotten as he walked towards where the English Channel extended out to what seemed like eternity. With the thick fog of the early morning, there was no telling just what was out there. William's breath was shaky as his gaze then drifted down. Beachy Head, a beautiful site for some, with the tall cliff towering over the shore line below. But for him, this day, it was his enemy - or perhaps his closes friend. Whichever the case, he was terrified.

[ William's eyes open lazily, as if to check on what she's up to. But that's fairly obvious by the attention his neck is getting. This he seems to be okay with. Maybe even willing to make it a regular thing! He gives her a subtle hint of that by tightening his grip around her body and holding her close. ]

[ The squeeze has her glancing his way, and upon meeting his gaze, she straightens up to face him with that grin of hers. Leans in, to return that affection to his lips, chuckling against them before kissing them once, slow and heated. Her fingers wind into those shortened black locks with the faintest tug, as she does. ]

Mn, I love you, Will. I suppose I never stopped loving you.

[ His gaze drifts from her eyes downward, taking in the details of her face and hair. ]

I don't want to say it simply as an automated reply. If you will allow it to come from me in my own time, it will mean far more to both of us.

[ It's all come on so fast, his mind still needs to piece it all together. But the fact that he's reciprocating her touches and is willing to try opening up says a lot on its own. ]

[ Watching him, Grell's eyes warm with adoration. Her hand shift to play her fingertips along the sweep of his hairline, thumbs brushing at his temples.]

Ah, I can't say that I'm surprised. You've always been such a tease. [ A chuckle. ] Don't keep me waiting too long, my love.

Behave and you won't have to.

[ Thoroughly relaxed, all sense of sternness has left his voice. He may actually say it sooner than he expects, if this is to be how things are between them from now on. ]

[ A tick of the tongue, as she idly brushes the tip of her nose to his. ]

Well, now, that's just charging me with the impossible, isn't it?

Hardly impossible. I would have thought so, before, but you were quite good at it while we were alive. Surprisingly.

[ He scrunches up his nose, defensively, and pushes her face back, gently for once. ]

Perhaps you can readopt some of those traits.

[ Wincing, she's prepared for the worst-- and yet, she's just left with a slightly smooshed face. Blinking that off, she pouts! ]

Much has happened since then.

[ William looks rather sceptical of that claim. ]

It's been rather uneventful, in my opinion.

[ Sitting back to regard him with a tilt of the head, her lips part with a lopsided grin. ]

To us, now, perhaps-- but those frail little mortals then committed various acts of murder in response to traumatic events, failed to save one another, and fail yet again to die. Couldn't even remember the worst bits, either, just knowing they were utterly twisted and alooone~

We experienced that all together, mind you. If I can make an attempt to show a softer side, once more, you can as well.

[ He contradicts himself with that stern glare returning. ]

Now, I wasn't implying otherwise.

[ Chuckling, she shrugs, and stretches her arms to rest over his shoulders. ]

But, yes, alright, fair point.

Good.

[ He's not sure how well she'll do with that goal, but he's curious to see.

He hums, a thought coming to him. ]

Do you still have your dress?

[ The first night he entered his flat here, he found his violin placed delicately on his bed. He'd never asked anyone else if something similar happened with them. ]

[ Grell blinks, and then, her expression darkens just so. ]

No... I have my mother's jewellery, but-- [ A frown. ] I'd assume they were fearful that I might remember something which they didn't intend for me to.

[ He looks just as miffed. He should ask management for a refund. ]

This entire concept is absurd.

Yes, well, they'd best hope that I never learn of whomever made that decision.

[ But then, she's looking William's face over once more, and her own relaxes some. ]

Though, I suppose there are more valuable things to have. [ Grell utters, dashing a fingertip down his chin. ]

You may think as much, but I'm questioning whether we should keep what we found out to ourselves. Management certainly won't want their absurd practice of altering records some become common knowledge.

[ Done with his thought, he trails his hands down her torso, rubbing along her thighs. ]

I do rather like how you look in dress pants, besides.

[ Ah-- what was he saying? William's touch effectively distracts her from anything but. Lashes fluttering, she breathes a heated little sigh. ]

Mn, keep touching me like that, and I'll wear anything you like...

[ Running down the tops of her thighs, his hands then trail back up along their bottom, reaching around to grip firmly at her ass. ]

You may have to return to your flat and pick out something sexy to wear to bed tonight.

[ Did he just invite her to spend the night? ]

[ Hands kneading into his shoulders, teeth dragging over her lip, there's a little growl of a moan as she rolls her rear into his hold. ]

Gladly. My only qualm shall be to pry myself from your touch.

[ There's another firm squeeze before his fingers wind into the fabric of her dress shirt, untucking it with a rough tug. ]

What have you got on under these?

[ The redhead gives a delightfully surprised chuckle, sitting herself up taller. Such makes it easier to slip her thumbs beneath the waistband of her slacks, pulling the fastenings up taunt ease of access. ]

I could tell you, but wouldn't that spoil the surprise?

I will wager a guess, then. Red lace.

[ The red is a surefire hit. The lace, well he's just hoping that's the case. The fastenings are opened, leaving him free to slide her slacks down just enough to find out. ]

[ Grell quirks a brow, for William will find that he's entirely correct. They're a beautiful, rich red embroidered onto a near-black burgundy mesh, with scalloped hem. Clearly not cheap. Very her. ]

Am I truly so predictable - or do you simply know me that well?

Predictable, most certainly. Though, that does mean I have been paying attention.

[ He takes in the detail of the embroidery, running his fingers along the scalloped edges. ]
