All Work & No Play
[Honestly, they're all exhausted - not tired but just worn out physically - after getting called all the way over here to help deal with a sudden rapid spike of missing souls which had been caused, unsurprisingly by an influx of demons. It was an odd thing and they still needed to pinpoint the origin of this matter, after all. Neither they nor the Paris Reapers could figure out what can caused an entire legion of Hells most foul to ascend on the city of lights.
Thankfully, with the five of them working pulled through just fine even if Alan was just a junior and Ronald was a rookie still.
At least the hotel was nice even if they had to bunk up; two beds to each room. At least they had adjoining rooms so if they wanted they could throw the door between the two rooms open and interact.
Alan closed the field kit he'd been using to tend even their most minor of injuries; huffing out a tired but relieved breath. His chest ached just slightly and his shoulders slumped a little bit.]
Well, that was certainly interesting if I don't say so myself. I know we've still got a few more days here in the city just to make sure things are well in hand an find answers, but what do we do for now? I mean - what do you even do in Paris?
[He turned toward his bed where a rather large suitcase was tucking the field kit away. He'd brought a few things with him. They'd put all their belongings into this singular suitcase - fresh suits, documentations they needed when they went to Paris's dispatch branch for briefings and reports, a few other odds and ends.]

This is what I'm on about. How can you touch me so tenderly while twisting my words into something so vulgar?
[ He gives an exasperated huff but hasn't shoved her off, yet. ]

The deepest truths are best read between the lines - and, for the most part, refuse to be written~
[ If that hand is still trying to find its place, she’ll snatch it up, to hold to her chest! ]
Yet, you cast your gaze away, because you’ve felt it - and it frightens you. [ Pressing his palm to her chest, only the thin satin between them, she bears that Cheshire grin and the faint aroma of syrupy alcohol on her breath. ] Are you frightened, Will~❤️?
no subject
Unlike you, apparently, I don't want nor would I like to watch my seniors share a - a moment.
no subject
All right.
[He hadn't expected things to get so melodramatic anyway. He gently reaches up, touches Alan's ear, and gently slides off his glasses.]
no subject
Certainly not. I have never been frightened of you.
no subject
I’ve always adored that about you— but, no, not of me... You’re frightened of yourself, when you’re with me.
no subject
And he's not going to dig too deeply into what that means. Alan just relaxed against him resting his cheek against Eric shoulder.]
Thank you. [Then his voice is quieter as he speaks.] Who knew it took getting William drunk to get him to 'fess up - We should have done this centuries ago.

This has all been a good show but who's turn is it now and do we have any coffee yet?
no subject
Honestly, Sutcliff and I are having a discussion. Now get back in the hotel room. That is your dare.
[ Who needs to bother asking truth or dare when you're the boss and you're drunk. Expecting them to follow his orders, he turns back to the nuisance seated in his lap. ]
Considering how my last relationship ended, there is no reason I should be mocked for my hesitance on beginning a new one.

Though, William is the first to protest, which immediately cools her off. (Well, actually, it gets her more worked up. Much hotter, in fact! But, details.) Be thankful for you boss, boys. ]
Bye~❤️✨
[ Resting her cheek atop William’s head, she dismissed them with a wave of the wrist.
Even if they aren’t as hasty as she’d like, she’ll continue their conversation as though they’ve already left. ]
Will, my darling, I wouldn’t have any idea what you’re speaking of, because you’ve told me none of it.
[ Pulling back to look at him, she knows he can’t see her, so she cups his face! ]
And I can only guess it was in a different life, yes? How long ago, now?
no subject
[Thank Death. He pushed himseof to his feet with a little huff before extending his hand out to the blob that is Eric to help him up. He didn't ask for his glasses though. He's just going to use Eric as a guide, it's fine.]
Come along, Eric.
no subject
I stated so earlier. Honestly, do you ever listen when I am speaking?
[ That first truth she'd given him, his boss' wife. Yup that'd been the one. ]
no subject
[ With an affectionate little tut of the tongue, she traces a thumb under his chin. ]
Who knew you were such a bad boy~.
no subject
[ As if he would have told her sober. It's not something he's shared with anyone, until now. ]
no subject
Would you really have told me?
no subject
Most likely not. But that hardly matters now that you know.

[ Assuming Grell must have placed his glasses on the table beside them, he leans forward to pat around for them. It brings him even closer and he even bothers to hook an arm around Grell's middle to keep her from slipping off his lap. ]
no subject
Oh. Right. Glasses.
With a huff of a sigh, she picks them up, to place in his palm. ]
It’s true. I’ve tried to find flaws in you that I couldn’t live with. Every time, I found myself more taken than before.
[ Having him hold her by the waist like this is... amazingly nice. Without even realizing, she’s rubbing along his shoulders! ]
no subject
In a way, I suppose I have done the same for you. There are plenty of what I would consider flaws, but again, you're still here with me.
no subject
Now, that is something I’d never even dreamt to hear. You, liking my flaws...
[ Should she ask to kiss him? No, it needs to be his idea, or he’ll never go for it! ]
no subject
[ Better make that clear now! ]
no subject
[ Chuckling, she grabs at his collar and leans in close enough, acting as though she might nip at his lip, though leaving it just a hair short! ]
no subject
That best not be your new nickname for me.
