All Work & No Play
[Honestly, they're all exhausted - not tired but just worn out physically - after getting called all the way over here to help deal with a sudden rapid spike of missing souls which had been caused, unsurprisingly by an influx of demons. It was an odd thing and they still needed to pinpoint the origin of this matter, after all. Neither they nor the Paris Reapers could figure out what can caused an entire legion of Hells most foul to ascend on the city of lights.
Thankfully, with the five of them working pulled through just fine even if Alan was just a junior and Ronald was a rookie still.
At least the hotel was nice even if they had to bunk up; two beds to each room. At least they had adjoining rooms so if they wanted they could throw the door between the two rooms open and interact.
Alan closed the field kit he'd been using to tend even their most minor of injuries; huffing out a tired but relieved breath. His chest ached just slightly and his shoulders slumped a little bit.]
Well, that was certainly interesting if I don't say so myself. I know we've still got a few more days here in the city just to make sure things are well in hand an find answers, but what do we do for now? I mean - what do you even do in Paris?
[He turned toward his bed where a rather large suitcase was tucking the field kit away. He'd brought a few things with him. They'd put all their belongings into this singular suitcase - fresh suits, documentations they needed when they went to Paris's dispatch branch for briefings and reports, a few other odds and ends.]

Rooming & Bed Assignment Thread
So the Paris offices rented us out rooms but there's only two. We'll have to buddy up. Two to one room and one to three. They do have a shared door in the wall between them that makes it pretty much into one really big room if we feel the need to leave it open.
[He passed one of the keys to William as he lead the way to the elevator.]
It wouldn't be proper to ask Mr. Spears to share a bed as he's our senor most member and supervisor, so it's between the four of us how we do things.

Make your decisions quick. I would like to get some sleep.

Though, she might have a chunk of demon-something in her hair. Pulling a face, she picks it out to flick away. ]
If we’re playing the senior card, I suppose I’ll be taking the second bed with Will❤️. [ She lowers her mirror to bat her eyes his way! ]

But if she is with Spears then...]
Then I guess I'll bunk with Humphreys...

William and Grell - While Alan and Eric are out
no subject
How lucky those two are.
[ Glancing over her shoulder at William, she hums with a can’t of her brows! ]
They’re wrong about the wine, though. Still, more for me!
[ She sets the bottle down on the table they’ve been provided - next to the ice bucket and drinking glasses. ]
Unless, you’d care to join me?
no subject
[ What he will do, though, is take that ice bucket. Grell won't be needing any in her wine, but he'll certainly want some for his drink. He's certain he saw the ice machine down the hall, when they'd first exited the elevator. Taking that task upon himself will mean less time with Grell tossing flirtatious glances his way!
There is the briefest pause, however, curiosity getting the better of him. ]
Lucky in what sense?
no subject
There’s a window behind the table, and she’s keen on opening it. Drawing the curtains, she sighs at the view! ]
They’re both keen on one another, sharing a night on the streets of Paris.
[ Unlatching the window, she pulls it open to lean out and take a breath. Her smile has lessened. She’s jealous. ]
They would be smart not to waste it.
no subject
[ Though he can't imagine Alan would let him sit here for too long, waiting on the drink he requested. And until it does arrive, Grell will find it rather diffucult to get anything other than a bad mood from him. ]

Alan and Eric out shopping
I'm trusting you to help me pick out proper alcohol since I don't have as much experience with that kind of thing. Thank you for coming with me, Senior Slingby. If I was going on my own it would likely take a while.
[ He laughs softly with a shake of his head. ]
Something tells me Mister Spears wouldn't like it if we dawdled.
Re: Alan and Eric out shopping
There's already a bottle for those who want wine. Let's have a little more fun. [The Paris air is cool and sweet] Let's enjoy ourselves! Let's come back with something special.
no subject
[ He tilts his head slightly. Alan might be keeping his pace slow and leisurely. There's no need to rush and he might be just taking in the city. It was gorgeous.]
I think the fact that we're all drinking at all is enough fun, don't you?
[ Alan just rolls his eyes. A little grin tugging at his lips, his next words coming out playfully teasing. ]
I'm curious to see what 'more fun' means to you.
[He snaps his fingers after a moment.]
Oh! - Or are you going to want to play one of those games like at a bar? I don't think any of us could match you drink for drink without Ronald here.

Reunited with alcohol!
But when he suddenly hears the door to the other hotel room creek open, William quickly shoves Grell off the bed, to keep the others from seeing. ]
Honestly, what took you two so long?
[ He calls from the other room. ]
no subject
She had gotten very cozy where she was, cuddled up against him— and so, being jarred away from him like that gets a yelp out of her. And, of course, there’s the thunk of her hitting the floor! Aaand the wine glass clunking across the floor, leaving a nice stain over the side of the bed and along the carpet.
With a groan of protest, the redhead picks herself up to sit. ]
Really!
[ Though, she is curious - so she pops up to rest her forearms on the bed. ]
I’d love to hear the entire thing.
no subject
Hearing that loud thump he froze and turned to stare at Grell on the floor, wine staining the bedding and the carpet. That's going to be a problem later but then he's actually processing this.
Grell on the floor. By the bed. The bed William is currently on. There's only a handful of possible conclusions he can make from this. And each one seems as farfetched as the next.
What had they walked in on?
Grell is not the only one that wants to know what was going on her but Alan is tactful enough to keep his mouth shut; only arching a brow at them, ignoring the way he feels his face flush - because if he doesn't he's either going to blurt out the truth or blurt out his question so he'll just move to his suitcase and dig out his night things as well as the accounting ledger for this trip so he can slip the receipt from their purchase into it.]
no subject
Well hello.
We got lost. Paris streets are all over the place. Here, I got some wine and gin and a few other things...
no subject
Hm.
[ From what Grell had explained to him about the two, William's got a feeling it's more than just 'getting lost'. But, for now he's reaching for that bottle, looking over the label. ]
What else, then?

Eric & Alan - Inside
That certainly wasn't how I expected the night to go. Maybe there really is something in the air?
[He's a bit too drunk to stop himself from thinking out loud it seems.]
And what happens when they're sober and we leave? Is it back to business as usual once we'e home like tonight never happened?
Re: Eric & Alan - Inside
What do you mean? [His tone is soft as he puts his hand on Alan's chest.]
no subject
We've all been acting a bit out of sorts which is fine but if those two get closer - [He was trying to find a tactful way of getting his point across.]
If they were to become 'acquainted' while we're here like this - do you think it will last past Paris?
no subject
We're not talking about Spears and Sutcliffe, are we?
