[ No one questioned anything when William suddenly left his office that morning. "I've been called to a meeting" was all the information he gave the rest of Dispatch. To them, it wasn't surprising, seeing as he was the head of the department. For William, however, the summoning came with zero notice. As he made his way to the upper managements' offices, all he could wonder was what issue his subordinates caused that he'd have to clean up after, this time.

It wasn't until lunch break that William returned to Dispatch. The others expected they'd get reprimanded for something, but William remained quiet, his face expressionless as he closed the door to his office. ]

[ But her hand is kept within his as they enter the shop. And any odd looks the two men receive from employees or other customers do little to get him to let go. ]

[ They've been rather daring, as of late, but Grell still has it in her mind that he intends to pull away once in the public eye, by reflex. Any moment. Except that moment stretches into a few, a few into a minute, and then several of those have passed, too.

A gleeful blush creeps over her skin, her free hand resting over her swollen heart-- and rhe curious - especially the scrupulous -looks they might receive only make her straighten her posture with pride, lashes fluttering as she flaunts the expression to match! ]

Now, why don't we start simple. [ At last, she breaks her unusually flustered silence, in favor of reaching out to touch the sleeve of a very smart blazer. ] Deep grey and black houndstooth. Terribly subtle, but it's got its charm. A toe in the water, you know.

[ It's now that William releases Grell's hand. Not out of embarrassment or to be 'proper' in the eyes of London's public, but simply to reach out and feel the fabric of the blazer. It's not something he would have chosen himself, given the option, but it's subtle enough that he would be willing to wear it, if given to him as a gift. Though, he knows this is the least eccentric of any pieces Grell may choose for him today. ]

Good. We will consider this one our last resort, today.

[ Clasping her hands with a pleased little hum, she's not wandering off like a distracted child, now untethered. ]

We need to add some texture, some drama! [ She outstretched her arms to the back wall, displaying all of the shop's most interesting pieces. ] If I can't get you in some color, perhaps we can go the opposite route with layers of rich black fabrics~♡

How much colour are you implying?

[ He eyes her warily. Yes the reaper uniform is nothing to be called fancy, and certainly not dramatic, but William thinks he looks quite good in it, regardless. Seems he's already forgotten he's no longer expected to adhere to a reaper's garb. ]

I'm not expecting to send you into the world with a neon two-piece ensemble, darling. For you, I believe the key will be to switch up neutrals with strategic pops of colour! [ Pressing her fingertips together, she's scanning the room whilst brewing up ideas. ] Blue is your favourite, isn't it?

That or green.

[ Her explanation of her thought process seems to calm him quite a bit. It even has him turning to a rack of ties and slowly turning it to see his options. ]

[ The redhead hums with approval! ]

Good, more to play with!

[ She nearly skips to the racks of ready-to-wear pieces, one having already caught her eye. And then another! ]

You see, these are rather practical, aren't they?

[ The first has him pulling a rather disapproving face. ]

I prefer the second.

[ He approaches, taking one of the sleeves in hand to inspect the quality. It' followed with a nod. ]

[ Any expression she manages to achieve from William brings a sense of accomplishment, so nothing it lost! She only chuckles, giving him the green to hold whilst she returns the other. ]

Perhaps a printed waistcoat, then!

[ He seems more interested in that idea. Perhaps because it's not as obvious a garment. ]

What colour or pattern would go well with this green?

[ Grell perks, positively beaming! Hooking an arm into the crook if his elbow, she pulls him over to the waistcoat selection. ]

When in doubt, stick with neutrals. Greyscale, shades of brown, cremes, and whites... [ To demonstrate, she pulls out a check patterned vest with cool grey tones, and another mid-brown vest donning a wide window pane pattern in green. ] And see how this second incorporates the color of the jacket?

[ Piling those into his arms, she shuffles for one more, pulling a warm plum vest. ] Colors that compliment green are red and purples, and since we don't want you suited to court Saint Nicolas, I think something like this would be better.

[ There's a surprised little hm that comes from him at her last comment. ]

I would have thought you'd have decked me out in all red, by now. Though you're already counting it out.

[ And he doesn't sound upset by this, at all! ]

[ With a toss of her hair, Grell shoots him a playfully offended look! ]

Now, I did not emit the possibility of red. Only>/i> with a green suit jacket.[ Giving him that last garment, she's rerouted in search of something that he must try on now-- and very red!! ] Let's see what we can find, then!!

[ With a sigh, he follows along, accepting that he brought that one on himself. ]

You may look nice in other colours, as well.

[ With a mildly unimpressed purse of her lips at the mere SUGGESTION that she should wear N outfit that doesn't have some form of red, she glances back at him. ]

If you purchase yourself some red, then I will allow you to pick a colour.

Fine.

[ The speed at which he agrees may be surprising. Or even that he agreed, at all! But he is slowly learning the art of teasing and flirting.

He briefly flicks through the waistcoats, spotting the perfect one near instantly. Now free from the rack, he drapes it over her arm, must as she's been doing to him. It's a lovely, bright and sunny yellow. No interesting pattern, plain buttons. It really lets the yellow speak for itself. ]

[ Stopping cold, her mouth parts with aghast as she stares the thing down, arm frozen as though she's been plagued with something dangerous and is unsure how to proceed. ]

[ The look she gives is actually quite amusing. Why not run with it. ]

Honestly, you wouldn't be wearing a waist coat on its own. We need to find a matching jacket and slacks to go along with it.

[ With a huff, she takes the garment by its hanger to hold out at arms length, as though rancid! ]

There is nothing that would make this even remotely acceptable for me!

Would you wear it simply to have me take it off of you?

[ Spotting a dress jacket that equally, if not even more so, hideous, he makes his way to the rack. ]

[ Grell frowns deeply, for she can't reject the idea with any certainty. ]

Perhaps, if you were to tear it off my body. [ She finds herself trailing along with some masochistic curiosity. ] And a few more times thereafter, for good measure!

My scythe would have aided in that quite nicely. Unfortunately that is no longer an option.

[ His way of saying the idea intrigues him, as well. He pulls the jacket from the rack, nodding briefly before hooking the hanger on her hand with the other piece. ]

[ The way she hums, it's clear that she's intrigued by the concept as well! Too bad the vision of this matching jacket must make her sneer in distaste! ]

Tragic, really.

[ Her shoulders rise and fall with a sigh. ]
