[ No one questioned anything when William suddenly left his office that morning. "I've been called to a meeting" was all the information he gave the rest of Dispatch. To them, it wasn't surprising, seeing as he was the head of the department. For William, however, the summoning came with zero notice. As he made his way to the upper managements' offices, all he could wonder was what issue his subordinates caused that he'd have to clean up after, this time.

It wasn't until lunch break that William returned to Dispatch. The others expected they'd get reprimanded for something, but William remained quiet, his face expressionless as he closed the door to his office. ]

[ The wording takes a moment to work through, but he eventually gives a short nod. ]

I believe I've gotten better since returning.

[ The black dress shirt is removed from its hanger and smoothly slipped on. Once it's neatly buttoned to the top, he fusses with the collar, getting it to lay precisely as it should. ]

[ At recognising his understanding, fondness shows in her eyes, smile softening. ]

Yes, but I need the best for you, right?

[ Quite pleased that he's taken up the black shirt, she's already looking him over a bit heated! ]

Oh... I like where this is going...

Fine. If you assist me, I will continue working on that.

[ He knows he should, after all. It would feel nice not to loath himself at all anymore. ]

I don't know why wearing a black shirt never occurred to me. It is rather nice.

[ Nodding with an affirmative hum, her voice drawls into a chuckle. ]

It looks quite smart on you. Imagine if you were to keep going. [ The reaper's words drip with lust, and with a wag of her brows, her teeth press into her bottom lip. ] Who knew it would be just as fun to watch you put your clothes on. Hm!

Perhaps now you understand my interest in it for you.

[ Next he finds the tie, giving her a side eye when he sees what colour she'd chosen. Of all the garment that could have been red, this might be the one his most okay with. It's slipped about his neck, then with a century's worth of experience, he fixes an elaborate tie of it. ]

[ All Grell can do to respond is purr in approval, fingers idly tracing beneath her chin as she watches. ]

--Wait.

[ Before William can reach for the houndstooth blazer, she hold out a hand to cease him! ]

Forget that, it would never do for this look.

[ And in a dash, she's out, returning shortly after with something much more sleek; solid black with trim detail on sharpened lapels, a waistcoat in a very subtle jacquard to match, and a pair of tiny red gem cufflinks that she may or may not have pilfered from the display cabinet. ]

Now, this will be a look.

[ He's about to ask her where she's running off to, but she's gone before he so much as opens his mouth. Fine, if that's what's happening, he'll take the alone time to switch into his new slacks. He's just done buttoning them up when she returns. ]

All black?

Trust me.

[ Holding out the treasures she's procured, she just beams with assurance!! ]

Honestly, I never thought I'd be doing so.

[ Making sure his red tie is tucked perfectly underneath, he fastens the waistcoat. He smooths out the front, surprised by how nice it looks with only a slight difference in texture. And once the jacket's been paired, he has to give in. ]

Fine. You were right.

[ Resting her hands on his hips, she presses up against him, the tip of her nose grazing his ear as she watches him in the mirror. ]

Now, isn't this a look for a man that should have everything?

[ He looks himself over once more, when a thought comes to mind. He removes her hands from him, lightly pushing her to the side. ]

That makes me slightly curious.

[ It's all he says before, with a slow closure of his eyes, those large, luminescent wings, emerge from his back. Amazingly the suit remains unscathed, but it's taken on a new radiance to match his skin and eyes. ]

[ Albeit confused, Grell seems to be eager enough to see what ideas he may have. The sight that meets the reaper has her weakly lowering herself to plop onto the bench. ]

I... [ Taking a breath, she shakes her head. ] I'm just as awe-stricken as I am aroused.

It's still such an odd sight to me. But, I like the contrast. Almost like it shouldn't be so.

[ He makes eye contact in the mirror, once more. ]

Much like a reaper and an angel.

[ Straightening up just so, her fingers lace together atop her knees. Cheeks rosy, she smiles. ]

Is that a bit of romance I hear♥?

If that's what you care to look at it as.

[ Difficult, as always. The wings flutter, perhaps scolding him for holding back, but he quickly dismisses them. ]

[ Finding strength in her legs once more, she steps forward to close the distance between them. Knuckles grazing his cheek, she looks upon that ethereal skin, to the transcendent hue of his eyes. ]

I'm content to call this whatever you want, so long as you continue to pamper me with it. [ Her hands carefully trace about his neck and over his collar, so that her arms may settle over his shoulders. ] Hearing those words, I feel as though... everything else is just so distant. Small, and insignificant, in perspective to our love and all it has overcome.

[ His normally stern face softens, just so. Winding his arms around her middle, he pulls her up against him. ]

Nothing else much matters anymore. Which sounds romantic, yes, I know. Honestly, you and this new identity have ruined me.

[ Looking between his eyes, she can only be described as lost in his gaze. Nearly breathless, her features untouched by their typical facade. ]

It's a beautiful sort of destruction, isn't it?

Hmm.

[ It's a hum that's partially agreement, partially thoughtful. But whatever his real answer to that is, he's leaning in to take her lips in a long, meaningful kiss. ]

[ Grell simply melts into it, arms folding about his shoulders while her weight leans into him, sighing contently into their kiss before reciprocating in full. Only once her part does she stay close, lashes lingering heavy over her cheeks as she nuzzles close. ]

Promise me this won't end.

I've done so already. But if you need to hear it, once more, then I promise you.

[ There's another lengthy kiss before he's slowly parting their bodies. They did come here on a mission, after all. ]

[ With some effort, Grell manages to release him, arms settling across her hips with a sigh. ]

Goodness, I'd rather take you home than be shopping. What have you done to me...

Nothing intentional. That is all on you.

[ With a final look over in the mirror he's settled on a yes for the purchase. Even the red tie! ]

[ Once he says so, Grell squeals with joy, reaching out to cup his face and kiss his cheek.

Before he removes the garments, she fetches the tailor for measurements to ensure that his jacket and trousers perfectly accentuate his form. Thus, they only leave with the under most garments for the time being. Grell purchases the cuff links for him, claiming that she may be borrowing them from time to time.

From there, they go on to purchase his day-to-day outfits, and leisure wear. ]

You know, you're surprisingly more agreeable to shop with than Ronnie! [ Leaning into his arm, she briefly rests her head against his shoulder. ] I'm having so much fun♥~

[ Surprisingly pleased with their finds, William is even more optimistic about Grell's taste in men's wear. Aside from a few eyebrow raising items, he finds himself liking most of the items she picks for him. ]

Did Knox willingly agree to this or did he owe you something?

[ He shuffles the bags around in his free arm before coming to his senses and whisking them off into hammerspace. ]
