[ No one questioned anything when William suddenly left his office that morning. "I've been called to a meeting" was all the information he gave the rest of Dispatch. To them, it wasn't surprising, seeing as he was the head of the department. For William, however, the summoning came with zero notice. As he made his way to the upper managements' offices, all he could wonder was what issue his subordinates caused that he'd have to clean up after, this time.

It wasn't until lunch break that William returned to Dispatch. The others expected they'd get reprimanded for something, but William remained quiet, his face expressionless as he closed the door to his office. ]

[ Grell frowns just so, upturned brows twinging. ]

You came back, and by some miracle, you love me. It's more than I've ever dreamt of.

Then I want you to tell me if I ever do disappoint you.

[ The reassurance is always nice to hear. It truly helps.

With that out of the way, he scoops up a handful of water, letting it run though his fingers over her chest. ]

Would you like me to wash your hair?

[ She offers a cheeky half-smile, purring at the attention. She rubs her hand along the back of his neck, raking her nails along the hair at its nape. ]

You're worried about me keeping quiet? [ Giggle. ] Yes, please.

[death_glare]

[ A bit more knowledgeable of what the various bottles around the tub are, William picks out a shampoo bottle and lathers his hands up. Then, his fingers are run through Grell's hair, adding a bit of the warm water as needed to get her scalp fully clean. ]

I don't think you're capable of such a thing.

[ Tilting her head forward so he can properly work his fingers through her hair, Grell's eyes drift closed with a pleasured sigh. ]

So, you see, you've nothing to worry about.

I suppose I can't help but be nervous about such things.

[ Her re-positioning allows him to focus on the lower strands of hair. ]

I'm also a bit curious as to how you'd look with my haircut.

[ That's an idea that catches her so off guard that it has her silently blinking with confusion, until it registers what he's doing-- and then she can't help but laugh, hands cupping over her mouth. ]

Horrid, I'm sure!

[ And once it's done, she leans forward to partly turn, so he can see, but seems to hand trouble removing her hands from her face! ]

On what level is it? Will you be sleeping tonight?

[ The way it's making her laugh, rather than enraging her, has him nearly smiling himself. Nearly. But he'll cover that up with a thoughtful tilt of his head. Then, reaching out, he attempts to push the longer back strands away from her shoulder, hiding them behind her neck. The side part is evened out, as well. ]

It isn't all bad. We would have to trim the lower portion quite a bit.

[ Ah, that finally gets Grell to remove those hands from her face, but it's in favour of protectively shielding the hair he's gathered at the nape of her neck! ]

Never.

[ Simple, and said with just the slightest hint of a smile at one corner of her lips, but still quite seriously!! ]

Not even if I wished for it?

[ If he were capable of making puppy eyes or pouting, here's where that would go. Alas, instead there's a narrowing of eyes and stern frown. ]

I . . .

[ Grell falters, lips parted for a moment as she thinks. Her gaze flickers upward with a purse of her lips! Ultimately, however, she shakes her head. ]

No. No! Of course not... For your happiness, I'd do anything! But that would be nothing more than some shallow satisfaction, wouldn't it?

What if seeing you in a masculine hairdo was a turn on for me?

[ Seems the stubborn Mr Spears is learning the art of teasing. Still, he needs to get better at having a flirtatious tone to his voice. ]

[ Grell looks at him, lips parted as her mind struggles to determine if he's still teasing. Her upturned brows press just so, while her hand absently runs up her arm to grasp at her shoulder. ]

If that's truly what you want, I'll find a way to make it work, I suppose... [ She turns her head away dramatically, forcing her tone to be a bit lighter!! ] But cutting it is out of the question!

[ With her facing away from him, once more, he returns to washing her hair. His fingers run through the soapy strands, undoing the makeshift styling. ]

It was merely a hypothetical. I am well aware of how attached you are to your hair, dramatic as it may come across. So you may wear it however you wish.

[ A handful of water is cupped and poured over her head. ]

Besides, I would have nothing to grab onto if it were so short.

[ Grell's head tilts back into his touch, eyes lulling closed. Her shoulders ease with a silent sigh, listening to his voice. ]

Hn. I love you, you know that? [ The water dribbling down her face has her pausing to sniff, wiping the excess off her lashes. ] I'm really not used to this newfound humor of yours, and I fear it's making me too gullible... Enjoy that while you can.

You have been teasing me since we first met. I believe it's about time I try to return the favor.

[ With the next scoop of water, William makes an attempt to avoid it running down her face. ]

I'm succeeding with it then?

[ Much better! He even gets a giggle out of her, too. ]

Succeeding with what, teasing me?

[ Running her hands back through her hair, she shifts to turn enough so that she may kiss his cheek. ]

Yes. And just about everything else, too.

Good. Not a mediocre student anymore, then. Which I remember you were quite offended by when we first met.

[ Done with her hair, he rinses the bubbles from his hands before resettling against the back of the basin. ]

Well, as it turns out, you just required some inspiration.

[ She says, grasping at the edges of the tub so that she might turn to face him. Such requires her to slide her knees down along the outside of his thighs, instead. ]

Your turn, darling. What shall you have me wash?

You kicked me in the chest. How else was I meant to deal with that?

[ Looking to the wall of bottles, once more, he picks out one he'd decided to try earlier that week. ]

Wash my hair, as well.

[ Grell hums with approval at the choice, before setting it aside. First, she'll tilt his head back with care, so that she may pour handfuls of water through his hair. ]

Most would cower and apologise to me for being a nuisance. Some would curse under their breath but fall in line. You were different, though, weren't you?

[ Pouring some product into her hands, she takes a moment to disperse it between her palms before threading her fingers through his locks. ]

There was no reason to apologise as I'd done nothing wrong. And you certainly weren't in a place to be commanding my actions. It was the only logical response, in my opinion.

[ His eyes close, enjoying the warmth of the water and the way her nails rake across his scalp. ]

[ That earns a crooked grin. Still, once she's ensured she's evenly distributed the shampoo, she begins massaging it into his scalp, gently using her nails in circular motions to lather it up. ]

Dynamics change with enough power and confidence. I thought it interesting that such things didn't have much effect on you.

Am I the only one you've found to not fear you, in the slightest?

[ The question ends with a slow, calm exhale. He really should have her wash his hair more often. ]

[ She gives a contemplative, though mildly disinterested hum! ]

Or make nervous, at the very least.
