[ Graduating from the reaper academy was nothing to brag about. Sure you gained some skills and were granted permission to customize your glasses and scythe, but beyond that, all that was in the newly trained reapers' future was tedious, unavoidable work encased within long nights of depression and regret. Unlike mortal graduations that were followed by celebration, reapers were informed of how they came to be, what was expected of them, should they wish to redeem themselves, and then shown their personal cinematic records. Forced to relive the pain of their mortal lives. To say it's a traumatic experience is a vast understatement.

William stands alone in his newly assigned, permanent flat. It's barely furnished, with just the essentials, no life or personality to be seen. All that's playing through his mind is his record. A horrific thing to rewatch, certainly, but somehow it was made more painful by a fear that had been newly established. He's suddenly feeling sick from the thoughts and has to exit the apartment to collect himself. Glancing up, he sees a brief flicker of bright red at the end of the hall, and before he can stop himself he's following after it. ]

[ He doesnt quite nuzzle back but he doesn't pull away either. ]

I never would have expected it for either of us. Before today, that is.

[ Peering up at him, her head tilts just so! ]

What? This?

[ He states it as if his words should have obvious meaning. ]

Though, I didnt foresee this for myself either.

[ At the attitude behind his words, she ticks her tongue! ]

Yes, well, I suppose one of those things can be our little secret.

Should I assume that means you will be telling everyone about our intimate moment?

[ He can't imagine she'd want to out herself for the other. She has a reputation to uphold, after all. ]

More likely, I can't expect myself to keep my hands off of you.

[ She chuckles against his lips whilst stealing another kiss. ]

Yes I've already accepted that.

[ Which right now doesn't seem too bad. She's done a good job of distracting him, up until now. ]

[ Raking his hair back, she's kissing at the corner of his mouth while he responds. ]

Good. [ Another kiss! ] I can't seem to get enough/i>.

[ He hums briefly, short little flashes of memories coming back every so often. But this... It feels nice. That someone is okay with him the way he is.

Refocusing on her, he tilts his head enough to catch her next small kiss. ]

[ It is clear that he'd been distracted, for a moment there. Even if he catches a kiss, she is keen to command his attention by grazing the points of her teeth faintly over his bottom lip. ]

What is it, hmn? [ And she follows with a lap of the tongue! ]

[ Immediately after she nibbles his lip he makes to suckle at it protectively, a frown on his face. ]

I keep thinking on my record. But this is helping. Not the biting though.

[ He will actually give her a smack in the head for that. ]

[ That disorients Grell for a moment, and as she gingerly presses a hand atop her head, she breaks into a crooked smile, laughing! ]

Tell me, then, what would you like?

[ He's quiet for a moment, perhaps thinking it over. Finally though, he presses himself closer. His arms are wrapped fully around her middle as he tucks his head in the crook of her neck. It's a very vulnerable move, one that really doesnt fit his demeanor. But the sadness he's felt for years suddenly coming back needs a soft moment to quell it. ]

[ Blinking, she finds herself looking at the top of his head while still attempting to process what's happened. No one has looked to her for this manner of comfort - ever. Her features soften, and she even feels emotional!!

Wrapping her arms about his shoulders, she cradles his head, resting her cheek atop it, heaving a calming sigh. ]

[ The longer she holds him the more his body relaxes. Shoulders slowly becoming less tense. His voice is a bit muffled against her shoulder. ]

I would enjoy it if we fell asleep this way.

[ Grell hums. ]

This is certainly not what I anticipated. [ A small snerk. ] Yet, I wouldn't mind.

I already told you there will be no sex.

[ He can only assume that's what she was hoping for. ]

[ That only makes her chuckle more! ]

You know that makes me want it more.

How unfortunate for you, then.

[ Is hard to sound icy cold when he's so warm and comfortable. ]

[ She nuzzles into his hair! ]

[ He hums approvingly and her nuzzling. ]

Honestly, you are an odd one.

[ A chuckle! Though, it might just be the slightest bit sleepy! This is too relaxing... ]

I suppose we're a fit pair, then.

Because I am devastatingly mundane in comparison?

[ He doesn't make any effort to disprove it, as if he's just accepted it by this point. ]

[ Ah, yes, her lashes are fluttering to a close, now. Even so, that doesn't keep her from quipping back! ]

Quite the opposite, actually. I find you more interesting than anyone else I've met, anyway...

[ He hums with a bit of curiosity, despite his eyes feeling heavy. ]
