Forgiven
[ No one questioned anything when William suddenly left his office that morning. "I've been called to a meeting" was all the information he gave the rest of Dispatch. To them, it wasn't surprising, seeing as he was the head of the department. For William, however, the summoning came with zero notice. As he made his way to the upper managements' offices, all he could wonder was what issue his subordinates caused that he'd have to clean up after, this time.
It wasn't until lunch break that William returned to Dispatch. The others expected they'd get reprimanded for something, but William remained quiet, his face expressionless as he closed the door to his office. ]

Seems they have a few two-room flats available. Not as many couples about, at the moment, I suppose.
[ He'll let her cling for a bit, but if it lasts too long, he'll pry her off himself so they can eat. ]
no subject
And what did you say? That I'll need a close watch?
no subject
[ The attention to his nose gets him to scrunch it up and pull back slightly. ]
I told them we've become romantically involved and would like to live together. They seemed to find that humorous.
no subject
You didn't--
[ Except this is William, and he's only just begun to develop his sense of humour; it certainly hasn't advanced THAT far.
Also, he's always been rather blunt, to say the least. She'd just thought that, with his reservations regarding physical affection and public displays... Well, that he might be embarrassed, or something like that.
The progression of thought shows on her features, from deducing to something of awe-stricken. ]
no subject
[ He definitely seems irritated by it, if the tone of his voice can say anything about it. ]
no subject
Ah, but then the aggression triggers back, the corner of her lips twitching! ]
Rightly so--! Just what did they say to you, my darling?
no subject
[ Perhaps the man was right, but that doesn't mean it's an appropriate comment to make. ]
I made it quite clear to him that his own sufferings meant nothing to me.
no subject
Mn, and I bet you looked quite sexy when you did... [ She melts against him, nails tracing above where his collar meets his neck. ] So that was that, then? No-- mentions of buggery, or-- something as antiquated as such?
no subject
[ With his usual huff he breaks a piece of of his scone, dipping it briefly in his coffee before partaking. ]
I hope you haven't gone swooning to everyone about our private time together.
no subject
While I would gladly gush about you, I'm afraid that I try to spend as little time with my new coworkers as possible. They're boring. Dreadful.
no subject
[ Though he doesn't push her away, he can't help himself from commenting on the affection. ]
Eat. You only have so long for your lunch break.
no subject
Nn, can't say that I have.
[ And with that, she stuffs her face. Can't expand on that if her mouth is busy, after all! ]
no subject
[ Though, perhaps there's the tiiiiniest bit of disappointment that the boy hasn't come to see them. Surely he must have hear they were back.
With his arm now free, William takes it upon himself to test the crisps that accompany Grell's sandwich. ]
no subject
She shakes her head with the smallest sigh, before sipping at her water to cleanse her palate. ]
It wouldn't do well for his social life, you know. Being seen with us.
no subject
That's absurd.
[ Having friends, in general, isn't something he's very much acquainted with, at all. ]
no subject
Goodness, you're adorable. I love you so.
[ Okay, maybe she'll try one crisp. ]
You know that phrase, judging one by their friends and all that? Well, I earned quite the reputation while you were away. And you know how our sort feel about angels. [ She pauses to look at him, petting her fingertips under his chin. ] Typically.
no subject
Again, absurd. But, what about me thinking so is adorable?
no subject
I've always found it attractive, how little you care for others' perception.
[ She glances to him, biting back a giggle. ]
But, well-- it makes you a bit socially awkward, my dear, and I adore that just as much.
no subject
[ Since she now has his affections, there can't be much. He takes a decent sip of his coffee, a bit disappointed that it's cooled off so quickly. ]
no subject
Your sense of fashion is tragic.
no subject
I think I look quite good in a suit.
[ It only proves Grell's claim. Wearing work appropriate attire is one thing, but showing your own sense of style is another. ]
no subject
And it's quite fortunate that you do, because it's all that you have!
[ She picks at some of her salad - easier to eat between conversation. ]
Say that I want you to take me on a date to the beach, and you've gone out to buy yourself an outfit for it. What would you choose?
no subject
Assuming you were planning on dragging me into the water, a swim suit.
[ And of course he means one of those classic Victorian era men's suits that practically look like a shortened version of his striped pajamas. ]
no subject
And budge my makeup? Absolutely not. [ A shrug! ] Just a stroll along the water, browsing the shops and having dinner along the coast.
no subject
We could do most of those things without ever setting foot on the beach.
[ Though, now it seems he's unsure what to change his answer to. ]
