[ No one questioned anything when William suddenly left his office that morning. "I've been called to a meeting" was all the information he gave the rest of Dispatch. To them, it wasn't surprising, seeing as he was the head of the department. For William, however, the summoning came with zero notice. As he made his way to the upper managements' offices, all he could wonder was what issue his subordinates caused that he'd have to clean up after, this time.

It wasn't until lunch break that William returned to Dispatch. The others expected they'd get reprimanded for something, but William remained quiet, his face expressionless as he closed the door to his office. ]

[ There's a feigned gasp, as she gives him a playful look of shock! ]

And budge my makeup? Absolutely not. [ A shrug! ] Just a stroll along the water, browsing the shops and having dinner along the coast.

[ Returning to his pastry, he breaks a decent piece from it. ]

We could do most of those things without ever setting foot on the beach.

[ Though, now it seems he's unsure what to change his answer to. ]

[ Okay, now he gets a look. ]

It's about enjoying the scenery, Will. It's romantic.

Fine, then. What would you wear? And think I should?

[ He gives her that look right back. ]

[ Okay, that mocking look he gives her has her lips twinging into a smile against her will!! ]

Alright, you cheater. Let's see...

[ She takes a bit of her sandwich while she thinks it over, humming. With a decided nod, she licks her lips. ]

Perhaps I could wear a cuffed blazer over an airy lace camisole, with cropped slacks... Add a delicate gold chain around my wrist, and pair it all with heels cut below the ankle!

[ Glancing to William, the excitement she has over the topic is clear on her features, really. ]

And you could wear something like navy slacks, a tan summer blazer over your dress shirt... white with blue pinstripe? A boater hat-- and a cute, casual pocket square to match~♥

[ He looks to the side as she describes the outfits, trying to picture them. He has no idea what the difference between the heels she mentioned and other heels are. ]

You honestly think I would look good in a hat?

[ Apparently it isn't something he would have chosen, himself. ]

Oh yes, you'd be quite handsome!

[ Grell raises her brow, leaning in. ]

Have you never worn one?

They muss my hair up.

[ He smooths his perfectly parted hair almost protectively. ]

[ Her teeth press into her bottom lip with a snerk. ]

You'll just have to keep a comb in your pocket, as you always do.

[ With a sigh he returns to his pastry. ]

You're going to enjoy dressing me far too much.

[ With a quiet squeal, she grasps onto the arm of his blazer. ]

I really am--!

[ And she leans in to kiss his cheek! ]

[ He side eyes her, but doesn't refuse the attention. ]

You are off tomorrow, yes? We can go then.

[ She pulls back to give him a tilt of the head. ]

Shopping? [ A blink. ] Or-- to the beach?

[death_glare]

Shopping.

[ Stated as if that should have been obvious. ]

Unless my things have been delivered I am out of clean clothing. We'll need to do laundry this evening.

[ For the briefest moment, she pouts. Suggesting they go through with her random date scenario on a whim would've been adorable-- but, hell, they're going SHOPPING, so she cheers right back up, face brightening. ]

Well, if we're to get you a full wardrobe and intimates for our leisure, we'll have quite the day ahead of us!

[death_glare]

Quite.

[ He motions to her food, silently commanding she finish her lunch before the break is over. ]

The intimates portion should be interesting.

Have you thought any more on what sort of things you might enjoy?

[ With a giggle, Grell pops the last of her sandwich into her mouth. ]

Maybe a bit of leather to offset all that lace. I may enjoy another color on you, as well. Blue, perhaps. Or a lavender.

[ The first suggestion earns a pleasantly intrigued hum-- but the latter, a hard swallow. She has to get some water before she can respond! ]

Ah... Well... You've been open to suggestion, so, for you, I'll find a way to work that in, I suppose.

It's just a color. Honestly, you make it seem like it will be your end.

[ Stabbing at her salad, she looks off with a faintly guilty pout. ]

I am not. It's just-- you know, not red.

[death_glare]

And what if I find lavender to be beautiful on you?

[ He plucks a few more crisps from her tray, since she hasn't touched them much. ]

[ The idea alone certainly brings colour to her cheeks. ]

You can't say that, you haven't even seen it yet!

[ There's a beat, as she almost shyly eats a bite. ]

But-- if it pleases you, I'd wear it.

I can imagine it. And I think my predictions will be accurate.

[ The shyness is intriguing to him. It's so different from her over the top personality and constant swooning over him. Perhaps just because he'd like to see more of it, he reaches over once she's finished chewing and takes her chin in his hand. The kiss is brief, and he's standing from the table once it's over. ]

I will be inspecting the new flat when your shift it over. Meet me there when you're out.

[ A kiss, out in the open, unprompted... it leaves her dazed, heart fluttering erratically!! Once he pulls away, her eyes remain closed just a moment too long, and her hand hovers to hold him, just out of reach. ]
