[ Grabbing at his hips, she places yet another kiss to his abdomen, just above the level of the water. ]

As it was meant to be, at last.

[ And she pulls him forward, just enough to lower his back down the tub's incline and provide enough room for her knees, once she's climbed into his lap.

There, she reaches for the shampoo bottle. ]

[ As if he had didn't already know this.

Willing to have his own hair tended to, as well, he slides down further into the water. His hands settle on Grell's hips as she perches in his lap. ]

[ Smiling contently, her hips press forward into his palms just so. Meanwhile, her fingers thread into his hair to distribute the product, before massaging at his scalp in circles, to lather it. ]

I used to believe that it had to be true. How would it be, otherwise, that some would wait a lifetime for love, while others stumbled into it so simply? It had to be that the former were just looking in all the wrong places; that their special someone was out there waiting, somewhere.

[ Though the attention to his hair feels wonderful, he can't help but frown at her explanation. ]

[ It's apparent he's thinking the whole concept over. ]

Was everything we suffered though meant to happen from the start, just so we could find one another in this afterlife? Or were we simply given a second chance to, having ended our lives before our paths crossed?

[ Still, he's considering it, and that enough to bring back the smile to her face. ]

We know that our tales are predetermined, to a certain degree. That certain entities or events can rewrite these stories-- such as suicide.

[ Dipping cupped hands into the water, she carefully trickles it over his hair to rinse it. ]

Perhaps life finds a way to twist and turn in on itself until Fate is satisfied.

That's why I was forgiven, then.

[ It felt odd to him the moment he was informed about it. He briefly closes his eyes as the water washes over his head. ]

I needed to speak with Christine, so she could open my eyes to everything I was trying to ignore.

[ See, Grell hadn't even made that connection. As she sees it, things happen and they're often terrible, except when they're not - a single line of a legend. Considering his words, she's rendered silent for a moment, as she disperses some conditioner into her palm. ]

[ He idly watches the soap pool in her hand, expression as unreadable as ever. ]

When I left, did you still feel as though I was the one?

[ Rubbing it between her hand, her lips part, her own expression empty as she recalls that time. But she tries to swallow down those feelings, reaching out to dash her fingers through his dark locks. ]

I briefly thought that I might have been wrong-- but I felt as though there was this hole in my chest, neglected, festering. Nothing to heal it, hoping that it would consume me because I felt ugly and crippled and didn't want to survive on to carry it.

[ Even though he knew, having seen the state she was in, hearing her describe the feelings that plagued her hits him harder. It's precisely what he never wanted to make someone feel again.

Ignoring the fact that her hands are raking through his hair, coated in soap, he pulls her forward until their chests meet. He holds her there, arms tightening around her. He speaks softly, finding it odd to hear his own words despite needing to get them out. ]

I want you to know how sorry I am.

[ Her hands tighten to close, keeping the product from smearing all over them while she wraps her arms about his shoulders, resting her temple against his cheek as they embrace. The redhead takes a long breath the keep herself from flowing over with emotions. ]

I can't forgive you, Will, only because I couldn't ever find it in my heart to blame you.

[ Turning her face to nuzzle along his, her eyes are closed as she soaks in the comfort he provides her. ]

After all that's happened, you're here, and I'm whole again.

[ She won't see it, but there's the slightest upturn to his lips when she speaks. He thought he'd felt happy last night. Everything finally settling into place and the weight lifting from his chest. But this is a whole other step above that. ]

Good. Honestly, I don't think either of us could stand falling apart again.

Especially me, you mean.

[ That earns something of a chuckle. ]

Don't worry. I've more than myself to consider, now.

[ His hold releases, allowing her to pull back enough to look him in the eyes, if she'd like. ]

You are certainly the more unstable one, of the two of us.

[ And she certainly does! Staring into his eyes lovingly, she actually chuckles this time, while leaning in to give him a kiss. ]

More fun, you mean. [ The redhead mutters against his lips, not yet willing to pull away! ]

More of a headache.

[ He corrects her before returning the kiss. ]

[ Crooning into their kiss, her hands find their way back into William's hair. Might as well have a bit of fun with it, she figures-- wash and play, at the same time. She teases her tongue between his lips, fingers twirling into his strands. ]

[ William instantly accepts her tongue, exploring her mouth just as eagerly. There's a slight groan as she plays with her hair. It really is something he enjoys, isn't it? In return, he fingers massage at her back, once more. Yet this time it's more teasing than focused on relaxing her muscles. ]

[ It vaguely tickles, yet feels wonderful. It has her body arching into him, breath fluttering as their tongues dance. Without intending to, she finds herself scraping her nails along his scalp once more. ]

[ It coaxes another groan out of him. Though it doesn't help that, now being so close to one another, Grell's length is pressed firmly against his own, the soapy water doing wonderfully at letting them slide along one another. ]

[ The reaper echoes his groan with a little moan of her own, especially with the teasing brushes of their cocks. But as good as it is, she still hasn't finished with William's hair.

Pulling back with some hesitation, she sets to rinsing his hair, pooling water down the back of his hair, and working out the product. Twice more, and it's clean-- she just needs to wash his upper torso.

But while she fetches the soap, she begins to rock her hips over his, increasing the friction between them. Slow and purposeful, as her hands work down his neck and knead over his shoulders. Over his chest, thumbs briefly but diligently tracing over his nipples. ]
