Oh, you're just now seeing that, mm?

[ Okay, she might be feeling a little sleepy, now, having him so close. Body warmth, steady breathing, his smell beneath the relaxing fragrance of that body wash... ]

Acknowledging it, more so.

[ Giving up on her hair, he lets his muscles relax, fully settling into the soft pillows. It's certainly nice to no longer feel lonely. ]

Oh. Oh, Will.

[ Arm wrapping tighter around his body, her opposit hand rests at his chest. ]

That's-- really good to hear.

[ A wistful, vaguely sleepy sigh drawls into another croon. ]

[ He hums his reply, as he can feel himself drifting off.
The exhaustion of the weekend combined with the rigorous activities of the evening has him out in no time. ]

[ Grell doesn't take long to follow after him, falling into blissful slumber once more-- and she stays that way, until something stirs her.

A very noisy something. A noise that she positively loathes, and never once missed since she bailed; her alarm.

With a muffled groan, she's already attempted to drown it out by burying herself into William's chest, but that doesn't seem to work. So, she rolls onto him, pushing him onto his back and laying on top of his chest, so that she may reach out and smack it into silence!!

And then, she collapses onto him with another, more whiny groan this time! ]

[ If an alarm was a horrible way to wake up for her, imagine an alarm plus a person climbing all over you. William hadn't been subjected to waking up at a specific hour for some time now, either. So he's rather displeased with having to do so, even if he technically doesn't have to work today.

With his own groan, he pushes Grell off of him so he can sit up. ]

[ Grell falls off of him with a merely half-awake yelp, a hand settling over her chest while the other rubs at her eyes. Perhaps laying on her bandages hadn't been the best idea, but she's been quite good at doing exactly what she shouldn't with them so far. ]

Nngh... Did I forget to turn that damned thing off...

No. You start your new position today.

[ Yawning, he reluctantly stands up, stretching. Without the aches of back pain, it's a rather satisfying stretch. ]

Thankfully it's not too late to get some breakfast before hand.

Nnooo...

[ Her voice is awfully small for the amount of loathing she holds for the idea of working at her new position, but... breakfast is a must. Pushing herself up to sit, she rake a hand through her hair, half attempting to smooth it down. ]

I suppose food does sound nice, though...

[ She blindly pats her hand around on the pillows to find her glasses, before scooting her bottom along the bed. Her robe's all askew, and half open, but she doesn't even seem to notice as she pads over toward the bathroom. ]

[ Watching as she groggily makes her way across the room, William finds himself thinking she looks a bit cute. It's a new state he's seeing her as she's usually so careful about looking her best. But this is real and the fact that she isn't rushing to pretty herself up before he sees her with mussed hair says something.

Though, perhaps it's a perfectly acceptable look compared to how he first found her two days ago.

Since she's hogging the bathroom at the moment, he decides to brew them up some coffee. The smell of it does well to wake him, even before he's had a cup. ]

[ In truth, it hadn't even crossed her mind-- until she saw herself in the mirror, anyway. When she meets him in the kitchen, she'll have brushed through her hair, applied some skincare, and a bit of tinted lip balm.

William had truly seen her at her worst, though. And he stayed. He kissed her without makeup, still made love to her god-given anatomy. Without realising it, she's finally begun to feel a bit comfortable around someone.

Smelling the coffee, she heaves a dreamy sigh! ]

Oh, you put the pot on~♥

[ Gravitating toward the coffee maker, she suddenly halts mid-step, rerouting to walk up to William, put a hand on his cheek, and kiss him good morning! ]

It's about the only thing you have in the cupboards.

[ He's stopped by saying more when her lips touch his. Such a gentle kiss compared to the ones of last night. It's quite appealing and a pleasant start to the day. ]

Perhaps I should have gotten two more muffins last night. I'd forgotten how good they were.

[ Eyes remaining closed, she takes a slow and refreshed breaht, nuzzling the tip of her nose along his.

Only then does she excuse herself to grab another mug from the cupboard. ]

It's strange to me, thinking that there isn't that sort of thing in heaven. [ She sets it upon the counter with a clink, while she reaches to pick up the pot. ] I mean, yes, leaving behind earthly pleasures and all that, but... What's there to be happy about, then? What do you do when you're bored?

[ She brings the sugar bowl with her to the table, extending her legs out when she takes a seat. ]

It's considered an addictive substance. A sinful pleasure of sorts.

[ He takes the seat opposite her, briefly watching as she stretches her legs out. ]

Seems God prefers tea in the morning.

[ Judging by the look on Grell's face, she's entirely stumped by that particular line of thinking. ]

Well, tea doesn't quite give you the same rush.

[ Shaking her head, she plops two sugars into her cup, stirring them around lazily. ]

I suppose I'll just accept that I never will understand the appeal.

[ Ah, yes. And she's still wearing that lingerie from last night. Appreciate it in the morning William shall. ]

Honestly, you would hate it there.

[ He takes a long sip, pleased with how bold the flavor is. Ah, that feeling when you brew the perfect cup of coffee, quite sinful indeed. ]

That doesn't mean I think you shouldn't try to better your behaviour, mind you.

[ Grell pauses to take her first sip, shooting William a pointed look over the rip of her mug! ]

What's the point, if I don't care to move up, mm?

[ Licking over her lips, she peers down at her own coffee with mild distaste. ]

Oh, what I'd do for some creamer right now.

To regain your position as a field agent.

[ Stated as if it should have been obvious. ]

We can pick some up later this evening, after your shift.

[ The thought of doing something together gets her to smile, but with a clear of the throat, she picks up her coffee to hide it by taking another sip. Even if she has to bear the less than perfect taste. ]

That's the thing, though. After you'd left, I realised... it was never the job I loved. [ A sigh, as she leans back in her chair, swirling the liquid in her cup. ] I only felt that I was a part of something bigger, that made me feel powerful, indispensable... and it suddenly became quite obvious that I'd just been romanticising an eternally monotonous task in which I was naught but a cog in the machine. Not valued, ultimately replaceable. Even if the new piece wasn't as polished.

Is it certainly a depressing concept when you stop to think on it.

[ He can understand that from a certain point. ]

I found myself lingering on thoughts of eternal self loathing. We all believed we were escaping that feeling, but in truth, ended up being trapped with it far longer.

[ Even though he's been forgiven and accepted a lot, there's still a lingering sadness in his tone. ]

[ Grell hums in agreement, mouth quirked into a half-frown. ]

Not only that, we are punished for our sorrow. Looked down upon for it.

[ There's a mild scoff from her. ]

I won't strive to please anyone; especially not them.

Then what is your solution? They are not going to let you become a deserter.

[ Sipping quietly at his coffee, he observes her over the brim of the cup. ]

[ Grell's eyes refocus on his, brows raised. ]

As I've said, I'll stay here, with you.

[ She says it as though it should be plainly obvious! ]

Were I alone, I'd try to find happiness elsewhere, but I don't need to keep looking anymore.

[ Apparently content with her answer, he nods. ]

So it will just be a boring, mundane job from now on. Perhaps there's no reason to regain your position in Collections. Janitorial duty may be preferable.

[ He's teasing in as teasing a manner as he's capable of sounding. ]

[ Grell near retches at those words, looking quite distressed by the very idea. ]

Absolutely not. I'll hate it!

[ She looks quite pouty as she slumps down into her chair, huffing into her cup while trying to take a sip. ]

It's just... easier. You'll have a chance to be happy, you know? And there really isn't any place for someone like me, so I might as well make due.
