[ Grell looks at the array of food she's brought for them, then back to William. ]
Well, you can't expect me to eat it all by myself... [ Her shoulders slump just the slightest though. He really won't eat the gift she brought for him? Why, she might even develop the smallest pout! ]
[ He unties the pretty, red bow that decorates the box, discarding it without a second thought, and sets about breaking each chocolate in half. Then, gathering them up, he pushes them into her hand. ]
If you have no ill side effects than I will have the rest.
[ He pops the box open again and eyes them all. It's dark in the theater, but he picks one out that appears to be dark chocolate with a cherry center. Perhaps not the most suspicious, but certainly the one he hopes is safe to eat. ]
Here.
[ He hands her the smaller half and watches her, expectantly. ]
[ Grell pops the morsel into her mouth without so much as looking at it - and the creamy sweetness offset by the tart cherry flavor soon has her shoulders raising as she hums in delight. Perhaps too much delight, considering how concerned she was about her weight moments ago. ]
If you're still worried, I'll take the rest of that one.
[ William raises his hand up, holding the chocolate out of her reach. He waits a few moments longer, just to see if there's a delay in any side effects. Pleased with what he sees, he finally eats the remaining half of the chocolate. Though his face isn't nearly as expressive as Grell's, it's fair to say he likes the candy. ]
[ Though she opens her mouth to respond, the sudden lowering of the lights has her momentarily wiggling in happiness! Finally, the previews are starting!
[ Grell turns her head to look at him with a huffy frown! ]
How can you say that when we're spending quality time together!
[ Said very much NOT in a whisper, which receives some aggravated hushes from the row behind them. With a tick of the tongue, the redhead tosses popcorn over her shoulder at them! ]
[ Grell yelps whilst cupping the newly sore spot at the side of her head-- but that doesn't get the same sort of hush. Either they caught on that she was the confrontational sort, or they've been satisfied by her beating. Maybe both. ]
So cruel... [ Pouting, she slumps against his shoulder! ]
[ William rolls his shoulder in a weak attempt to get her to move. Fortunately for her, there's an intriguing preview on the screen that's caught William's attention enough not to cause more of a ruckus by shoving her away. ]
[ Even so, she lifts her head and shifts her weight onto the armrest, instead. For now, she'll take the hint. For now. As Grell figures it, she should bide her time. Wait until the movie begins and has progressed into more interesting material!
[ Happy to comply, she hands over his drink with a bat of the lashes. It seems that she'd learned her lesson about spiking consumables-- but from there, it all became a bit confusing. After all, he'd seemed to have been more interested once she began to ignore him... Oh, now she's distracted, what's happening in this preview?
Anyway, either she's interested or she's not... Playing in between is going to be quite the challenge. She's not even certain that she can do it...
Oh!! The movie's starting! Perking up, she's positively grinning. ]
[ Perhaps it's because they haven't spent much 'quality time together' until now, but William's quite surprised by how excited Grell seems to get when something particularly morbid or gruesome happens on screen. Or maybe concerned is a better word. Whichever the case, William finds himself placing a hand on her forearm to get her to stop vibrating in her seat! ]
[ It's not the heartfelt scene that she had in mind, nor is she properly thinking at all when she curls up against him, opposite hand wrapping beneath his arm! She's already excited, and when he touches her in such a way, all she can think to do is hold on. She's quite happy, watching such a riveting movie and having him by her side.
She snuggles her cheek down atop his shoulder, giggling as another ridiculous maiming scenario flashes across the screen. ]
[ Obviously she misunderstood what his intention was at touching her. But it's keeping her from bouncing and clapping in her seat, so he allows it.
Once the film ends and the lights are turned back up, William catches sight of a number of others in the theater who thought her behaviour was just as odd. ]
[ Quite used to those sort of looks, Grell doesn't even notice them. In fact, now that the movie no longer has her attention, she realizes how long she's been holding onto William, instead-- there's positively no attention left to spare for some unimportant bystanders!
Cheeks rosy, she swings out her feet, and is up into them with a bounce! ]
Oh, wasn't that marvelous, Will♥? You liked it, right?! [ She spins on her heel to face him, hands on her thighs as she leans in closer. ]

[ Her brows raise as she eyes the box. While she quite likes chocolate herself, she still looks pretty concerned, because-- ]
You're going to make me fat.
no subject
[ Dramatic, as always. Taking that as she won't follow his orders, he covers the box back up. Not taking any chances, nope! ]
no subject
Fine, you stubborn boy. [ She flops open a palm! ] Give me one. Whichever you find most suspicious.
no subject
Here.

Not bad, hn? Told you they're fine.
[ Opening up the bag of popcorn, she doesn't seem to have a problem snacking on that at all! In fact, she shovels a near handful into her mouth! ]
no subject
[ Said as he takes a gamble with another chocolate. Milk chocolate with a smooth caramel inside. He hums a bit at the pleasing sweetness. ]
no subject
It's significantly lower in calories. [ Though, now that she's looking at that soda... ] --It's all about moderation, I guess....
no subject
[ Not that it looks like she's even doing that, what with all the snacks she pulled out of that pocket of hers. ]
no subject
But she'll still reply, just in hushed tones! ]
Like what?
no subject
[ Though whispered, he still sounds as stern and serious as usual. ]

Keep your voice down. You are going to get yourself booted from the theater before the film's even begun.
[ And he won't be following along if that does happen! He paid good money for this ticket. ]
no subject
So cruel... [ Pouting, she slumps against his shoulder! ]

no subject
And so, FOR NOW, she offers him some popcorn! ]
no subject
Less hesitant of the popcorn, as she'd just purchased it before the film, William takes a handful, then silently gestures for his drink. ]
