[ Graduating from the reaper academy was nothing to brag about. Sure you gained some skills and were granted permission to customize your glasses and scythe, but beyond that, all that was in the newly trained reapers' future was tedious, unavoidable work encased within long nights of depression and regret. Unlike mortal graduations that were followed by celebration, reapers were informed of how they came to be, what was expected of them, should they wish to redeem themselves, and then shown their personal cinematic records. Forced to relive the pain of their mortal lives. To say it's a traumatic experience is a vast understatement.
William stands alone in his newly assigned, permanent flat. It's barely furnished, with just the essentials, no life or personality to be seen. All that's playing through his mind is his record. A horrific thing to rewatch, certainly, but somehow it was made more painful by a fear that had been newly established. He's suddenly feeling sick from the thoughts and has to exit the apartment to collect himself. Glancing up, he sees a brief flicker of bright red at the end of the hall, and before he can stop himself he's following after it. ]
Grell Sutcliffe?

[ A brief look to where she's massaging the lotion in before he decides he'll try the wash. And he's rather surprised by how refreshed he feels after he's rinsed and patted dry! Even to the point of examining his face in the mirror. ]
no subject
Quite nice, right?
[ Now that she's taken care of her skin below the waist, she pulls on their issued pyjama pants-- she should have purchased some cute shorts, she thinks, but she'd spent their majority of her allowance on what's on the counter right now!
Now, she can strip off her vest and shirt, so that she may get her arms, next! ]
I wouldn't get too much of the moisturiser, if I were you. Don't want it feeling too heavy, you won't like it.
no subject
You seem to put a lot on.
no subject
Well, yes. It's very beneficial for skin health. That's how I can keep it feeling the way that it does. [ A wink, because that compliment didn't get past her! No way~ ]
no subject
Are there more masculine scented lotions?
no subject
I'm certain we could find something, even if it were simply a neutral scent, mm?
[ With her arms and body done, she pulls her shirt on, before closing her suitcase, at last! ]
no subject
no subject
No, darling. You let it stay to work its magic~.
no subject
Very well then, I don't believe I put too much on.
[ He makes eye contact in the mirror, silently asking for her critique on his application. ]
no subject
Using the mirror to look it over, she hums. ]
It feels nice and even, I assume?
[ Just to test it, of course, she runs a knuckle along his jaw! ]
no subject
[ That time he barely moves at her touch! ]
I may leave the body lotion alone for now.
no subject
I thought you wouldn't appreciate the smell of it, anyway.
[ An amused croon, as she moves to exit the bathroom. Randomly, she chooses the left side of the bed, pulling back its covers to crawl beneath! ]
no subject
Not at all fussy about the side she's chosen, he climbs in beside her. There's certainly enough room for them both without any contact, but William's sure that won't end up being the case. ]
no subject
What a day we've had...
no subject
Rather mentally exhausting.
no subject
Now, that is an understatement. [ She chuckles, breath lulling into a pause. ] How have you been feeling, by the way? Since-- you know, we'd concluded our assignment.
no subject
[ That wasn't a pleasing moment, at all. ]
Honestly, I have hardly slept. I keep seeing Thomas Wallis' life running through my mind.
no subject
Talented as he was, I never would have expected that. Hm. The afterlife is truly testing you, you poor man.
no subject
[ He lets out a rather frustrated sigh. ]
no subject
[ She hums in agreement with herself, though she can't completely eliminate her amusement from it. ]
Soon, you'll wonder where all the excitement has gone!
no subject
[ He hesitates on his next comment. ]
I may need your erratic personality to keep me from closing in on myself entirely.
no subject
Swallowing quietly as she may - as she can't have him know that she's fazed in the slightest! - she searches for his hand with gentle fingertips, and upon finding it, takes it into her own. ]
Something tells me that I'll need you to keep me from straying too far, as well.
no subject
That sounds near impossible, but I will take that as permission to step in before you mess something up.
[ His hand fidgets in hers for a moment before it stills, allowing the contact. ]
no subject
[ For a moment, she thinks he'll pull away, so she's quite content with that - enough so, that she'll give his hand a fond little squeeze! ]
no subject
[ He doesn't squeeze back, but he doesn't protest either. Her skin is not only soft but warm. It's rather pleasing. ]
