[ William's own shoulders stiffen at the contact, but he refrains from pushing her off, this time. After all, he was the one to choose to sit beside her. ]
[ A shake of his head, but he doesn't halt her celebratory mood. Instead he picks up his tea, sniffing at it and making quite sure it's color is correct before sipping. He's not taking any chances! ]
[ The following weekend, Grell looked simply exuberant, having the chance to spend time with William. Having the chance to dress up, she's worn her cutest outfit, complete with shiny red brogues and a matching coat-- of which she's enchanted the pockets, so he'll discover once they've found their seats in the theater. Out she pulls some bagged popcorn, still warm, followed by two soda pops, a bag of gummies, and a box of chocolates tied off with a red bow.

[ If William wasn't already giving Grell a suspicious glance at all the food that she dug out of her pockets, he certainly is eyeing up that box of chocolates. As tempting as the sweets are to him, he's still hesitant. ]

[ Grell looks at the array of food she's brought for them, then back to William. ]
Well, you can't expect me to eat it all by myself... [ Her shoulders slump just the slightest though. He really won't eat the gift she brought for him? Why, she might even develop the smallest pout! ]
[ He unties the pretty, red bow that decorates the box, discarding it without a second thought, and sets about breaking each chocolate in half. Then, gathering them up, he pushes them into her hand. ]
If you have no ill side effects than I will have the rest.
[ He pops the box open again and eyes them all. It's dark in the theater, but he picks one out that appears to be dark chocolate with a cherry center. Perhaps not the most suspicious, but certainly the one he hopes is safe to eat. ]

[ He hands her the smaller half and watches her, expectantly. ]
[ Grell pops the morsel into her mouth without so much as looking at it - and the creamy sweetness offset by the tart cherry flavor soon has her shoulders raising as she hums in delight. Perhaps too much delight, considering how concerned she was about her weight moments ago. ]
If you're still worried, I'll take the rest of that one.
[ William raises his hand up, holding the chocolate out of her reach. He waits a few moments longer, just to see if there's a delay in any side effects. Pleased with what he sees, he finally eats the remaining half of the chocolate. Though his face isn't nearly as expressive as Grell's, it's fair to say he likes the candy. ]
